Derma Planning Benefits

Because you’re removing any and all of your dead skin cells, your skincare products will better penetrate when you apply them, making them all the more effective.

But of course, there are caveats: If you have highly reactive, sensitive skin (like those with rosacea or keratosis pilaris), you may want to pass on this one, since it might irritate your skin.

Will dermaplanning cause breakouts?

Quite the opposite, actually. A buildup of dead skin can clog your pores and hair follicles, which can not only cause pimples but also block your skincare products from penetrating the skin, which is why exfoliation is essential for maintaining an even, healthy glow. But like I said, if you already have an existing breakout, you’ll unfortunately need to sit this treatment out.

Ever notice how peach fuzz tends to stand out even more underneath foundation and face powders? Well, since dermaplaning removes all the little hairs on your face, your makeup will actually glide on super smoothly. But hold up—although it’s tempting to see the results right away, try to avoid slapping on a face full of makeup immediately after your dermaplaning treatment.

Many leading skin care specialist recommend using a rich hyaluronic acid mask or moisturizing cream to help repair your skin and keep it super hydrated, which will be used as a finishing product at the end of the service.

Dermaplaning is a Manual Exfoliation by way of a razor instrument to superficially scrape away the upper most layer of dead skin, along with fine vellus hair (non-pigmented hair or “peach fuzz”) that can trap excess dirt and oil and leave the complexion looking dull. Dermaplaning lightens the appearance of pigmentation, and evens out the texture of the skin. Also helps to minimize fine lines and wrinkles. This service is recommended every 2-4 weeks to help maintain the best results. There are reasons one should not get Dermaplaning. Poor wound healing, Open wounds, Fresh scarring, Distended capillaries, Stage 4 Rosacea, Cystic inflamed areas, People taking Blood Thinners. No Botox or Fillers in the last 7 Days.

The Dapper Barber Now Offers: Extreme Face Klenzing Services 4 The Ladies! A Recent Review By my client, Denise Logue. She Writes: I had started a review for this places! based only on my son and husband's experience, but then I went and had my own experience with dapper and debonaire that I need to talk about. Ladies, this is a long but necessary review, take the time to read it so you know what you'll be missing should you decide to pass on this opportunity. This shop screams "men's shop" from the window decor to the product inside, but ladies, this shop is not just for men. The boys that went were raving about their own experience with Paul, and he casually mentioned to them that he provides the same service to women, but it was not widely known... yet. My son called me up while he was there and asked me if I were interested in getting a deep cleanse. Who am I to pass up a deep cleanse, complete with hot towels, head and shoulder massage ( not long, and not by hand, but a massage of sorts nonetheless) paraffin hand wax,, and micro-blading. Whats micro-blading, you might ask? Great question, as I had no clue either. So Paul is a great conversationalist, and was telling me that this procedure, the microblading, is the same thing for women that is done on a guy. Of course that still didn't tell me anything, because I am obviously not a guy that has ever had this service done. I didn't care, I was there for the deep cleanse and hot towels, not knowing the absolute exceptional treatment I was about to receive. So, Paul goes through all the services I usually experience at a salon, the very awesome massaging of oils and creams into my face, thoroughly working in all of the creams and cleansers. Im in heaven just for the mere fact that I am reclined, my feet are up and I'm enjoying some great music. He does the cleaning, using various devices and I am confident that I am perfectly content with this salon, considered to be for men, and that I have truly found hot springs real secret. Its not the expensive and hard to get into bath houses, its Dapper and Debonaire. As with traditional cleansing I have had, I'm thinking my time is almost up and I'll be going back to the harsh reality of camping, but no. Paul is not even halfway done. Now I get the paraffin hand wax. Hot wax, (test the wax first, it was extremely hot), then plastic gloves followed by mitts to keep the nice warm wax moisturizing your hands while Paul continues to work on my cleanse. Be advised, the hot towels and steam clean is addictive, I'm already trying to think of ways to duplicate this at home.. i wish i could find words to explain how sensational hot towels feel on your face.. yes,, i have had it before,, but not quite like this.. Paul covers every inch of your face and its warm and dark and very soothing under that towel wrap. (Don't fear, you can easily breathe under the towels)I really thought things were wrapping up, as we are at least 45 minutes plus into my treatment. But no, Paul is in his element now, applying a mud mask. I couldn't be happier, or so I thought. So the mud is drying and paul is chatting about how he can do two people at once, like a couples treatment, or a nice treat for two friends, etc etc. The mud is dry and now I'm really thinking that after the mud is removed, my time will really be up. Wrong, again. Paul removes all the mud, and then proceeds to do the thing I didn't even know was a thing. Micro-blading. Paul takes a straight razor to my face and literally removes like a layer or two of truly dead skin cells. I don't even realize this is going on until I opened my eyes and saw the razor coming my way. Of course I am immediately panicked because we have all heard that as soon as you shave, thats when the hair will begin to grow. I voice my concerns to Paul because I am not wanting a mustache or beard. Paul quickly dispels that myth and though its still in the back of my head, he continues. So basically Paul shaved off dead skin. I am 55 years old with deep and dark age splotches on my face. Extremely dark and they make me very self conscious. I have spent years and lots of money, trying to get rid of these splotches, with no luck at all. My first session, ( and I say first session because I will be back) garnished better results on these splotches in one treatment, then years of various and fruitless attempts. No, they are NOT gone that would have been a MIRACLE, but some of the lighter splotches are almost undetectable and the most severe dark splotches are SIGNIFICANTLY lighter, leading me to believe that MAYBE, just maybe, there is a chance that after a few more treatments, they may entirely disappear. I said as much to Paul, and he was quick to advise that there should be at least 3 weeks between sessions. I can't remember why right now, but I would guess it has to do with not causing some reaction, or some other ill affect of too frequent microblading.. so, in 3 weeks, I am going to microblade again because the thought of a chance of these splotches reducing is far more appealing than I can explain. So ladies, don't hesitate, go to dapper and debonaire and get this deep cleanse, you will not be sorry and you will be back. The price is far less than a facial at the spa you usually go to, I promise. And where are my elites? Check this place out, and yelp your reviews, this shop deserves to be on the must do while in hot springs. This was the original review that I was going to post just based off the boys experience. That was until I had my own experience, I had to move the boys down and put my own experience up top. So, my son and my husband are there now getting treatments. They are sending me pictures of what looks to be an amazing experience. Yes, I am extremely jealous. Hot towels, head massage, ear waxing ( ok , that does sound like a man thing) This doesn't say its exclusively a mens only salon,, as far as I know, but I think I am going to break that preconceived notion today and give myself the same luxury these two yahoos are undeserving of.. maybe deserving, idk, but guaranteed to not appreciate it as much as I know i will. This current review is just worth after I get my shot on the table. FYI, this person is doing due diligence, the. Boys have been gone for almost 3 hours, so even if I get half of that, I will be in heaven
